How to delete your account

You can delete your account directly inside the DayLoop app at any time:

1. Open the DayLoop app on your phone.
2. Tap the profile icon in the bottom toolbar.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm when prompted.

Your account is deleted immediately and permanently. Exactly what that removes depends on whether you share your household with anyone — both cases are set out below.

What gets deleted

• Your profile (name, timezone, preferences) and your sign-in
• Your push notification token
• Your usage records and your subscription record
• If you are the only person in your household: the household itself — every event on its calendar and its entire chat history

What is retained

• If you share your household with other people: the events and chat messages you added stay on the shared calendar so it still works for the remaining members — but your name and identity are removed from them.
• Anonymous aggregate metrics (counts only — no personal data or content) may be retained for internal analytics. These cannot be linked back to you.

If you own a shared household

Deleting your account is blocked while other members remain, so the shared calendar is not pulled out from under them. Remove the other members first (Profile > Household & members), then delete your account.

Subscription cancellation

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Google Play subscription. Before deleting, cancel your subscription in Google Play > Subscriptions > DayLoop to avoid future charges. Refunds are handled per Google Play's refund policy.

Can't access the app?

If you cannot access the app, email us at [email protected] (the subject line "DayLoop - Account deletion request" is filled in for you) and include the phone number associated with your account. We will delete your account within 30 days.
